Ocean Physics Technology (OPT) designs and builds underwater acoustic instruments and the platforms that carry them. Founded in Shanghai in 2020 and headquartered in Wuxi since 2023, we make parametric sub-bottom profilers, a 3D phased-array profiler, a coastal survey USV, a profile winch for unmanned platforms, a subsea laser scanner and deck handling equipment — and we integrate them into working survey systems rather than selling boxes.
Our engineering and production are in Wuxi. Delivered systems are supported from our maintenance and service centre in Dongying, mechanical work is done at our own centre in Zhuhai, and international contracts are signed and settled through our Hong Kong company.

What we build
Parametric sub-bottom profilers
GeoScope 100 (surface electronics, portable), GeoScope 200/300 (subsea electronics, built for USVs and ROVs) and GeoInsight 100, a phased-array parametric profiler that returns a sub-bottom swath instead of a single line. All developed and manufactured in Wuxi.
Unmanned survey platform
HydroFrog 25, a foldable 2.5 m catamaran that fits in a van, with an open payload bay for sub-bottom profilers, echo sounders, ADCPs and water-column sensors.
Payloads for unmanned platforms
The FT120 profile winch for SVP, CTD and water-quality casts from a USV bow, and the EML-3X subsea electromagnetic locator for buried cable tracking.
Subsea imaging
LaserScope, a 3D subsea laser scanning system for structure inspection and high-resolution mapping.
We build the electronics and the software ourselves, so a question about a waveform, a file format or an integration cable goes to the engineer who designed it, usually the same day. Every system is sea-tested before it ships. Operator training and remote support come with the system, and the Dongying centre handles overhaul, spares and field service afterwards.
We also run offshore and working-class ROV operations with a team that has spent ten years on deck. That field experience is where much of our equipment design comes from.
