Handling & Lifting Solution/LARS
Integrated LARS for heavy-duty ROV

LARS
The Integrated Heavy-Duty ROV LARS launches and recovers ROVs of up to 8 t. Winch, A-frame and docking head are supplied as one integrated system and craned onto the working deck complete.
The winch has an electric variable frequency drive, a launch and recovery load of 15 t at the inner layer and a static brake load of 18 t. It stores 2500 m of 30 mm umbilical cable.
The A-frame and anti-sway unit use a sliding-type design, with an 8 t safe working load and a 15 t outboard supporting load during ROV operation. Outboard outreach is greater than 4.3 m, inboard span greater than 2.0 m, and the maximum height from the sheave down to the deck is ≥4.6 m. The ROV docking assembly has a sheave diameter of about 1.1 m, a rotation angle of ±130° and a load capacity of about 10 t. The system is designed and supplied by OCEAN PHYSICS.
